Affordable dental plan?

I work for a company that manufacutres dental products but ironically they do not offer dental coverage for my family. Is there a good affordable dental plan out there? My husband is in pain %26amp; we cannot afford a huge bill.

Affordable dental plan?
No. Private dental policies always cost more than they pay out. Between deductibles and waiting periods, with coverage limitations, I've never seen one where YOU come out ahead.
Reply:there isn't

crap isn't it?
Reply:Try www.Ameriplan.com. It's a discount dental plan that you can get for your entire family (meaning, whoever lives with you--not necessarily related, even) for about $19.95/month. Participating general dentists on the plan: 80% coverage;specialists such as oral surgeons:25% discount;also offers vision and chiropractic. Just make sure professionals in your area take it before you sign up. You can be effective in as little as 48 hours. I have it and my place of employment takes it. If you've got kids who need wisdom teeth extracted, a 25% discount can make a substantial difference! Good luck.
Reply:Try Delta Dental. And I disagree with Isabella. Your check-ups cost around $200 a year for the 2 of them, one that has all the x-ray costs included. That is what your usually pay in a year for the premium. Semi-annual exams are usually at no cost to you. So, it's a wash. And if you have to get fillings or have oral surgery, now you have a company that pays for 50% to 80% of the costs of those procedures.
Reply:I agree with Dementia, try Ameriplan. You can look for providers in your area right on the website. It's not insurance so you don't have a waiting period. www.bestdentalplanonline.info
